990x gtx580 Quad sli(Updated with pics!) - Page 8

Very nice rig bro Puzzled why ppl go with 4way 580's though...3 is the sweet spot, but i'm guessing you like synthetic numbers more.

But i am very curious as to why ppl are putting so much $$ into an older platform though. But to each their own i guess....Especially with SB-E right around the corner.

Hmm well when i got this rig sandy wasnt out yet, and to be honest i would have got it anyway i really love 1366. I really love the more complex overclocking I would have hated the simpleness of sandy. Also with the 3way/4way, it just dosnt seem right to get three when your so close to 4, 4 is max and max is beast. Also you cant go past the look of 4 cards together xD

Thanks, Sir Overkill.

Next to rock collecting and bird watching, which are both extremely boring. I burn a lot of money on "useless" hobbies. It makes me happy. Why is that bad?

On topic, I like the quad setup. Every time you get a kill in a shooter, send them a picture of your setup. Big slap in the face.
