I'd get the 1600 version of the XMS3 rather than the 1333mhz. Generally same price, better performance. Other than that, seems good to me .

Personally I'd stick with stock cooler on the CPU then see what space you have when it's built and go from there if you want to OC.

BTW that's a great case, good call .

Good point.

As for the fan, depends on whether you plan to OC it etc. Upon recommendation, I bought an artic freeezer pro rev2 which for money is really good.

But like Tigalione said, if your not sure your going to need it from the off, then see how you go with stock.

its missing a gpu, unless its for a killer htpc
the 4250 is good for older games('05 era), but will choke on newer ones

similar build from newegg
https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/M...px?ID=14440831
total = $827 and $60 in rebates

Does look like a nice rig.

As you have SSD, I'd drop the hybrid and get a larger capacity drive; If your planning burning Bluray, the image files for them are 15-55GB you wont get many on a 500GB

Ask yourself what you want the rig for. Gaming, Bluray burning and video editing. Storage and downloads???

Personally I would like a much better GPU myself and would slash anything I wasn't going to use every day to make up the cash for it. I made a balls up buying a Bluray player used it once and now DL all my bluray films and watch direct from HDD that was an extra £70 I would have had for GPU.

It's an okay PC but could be much better

You can get a better kit of DDR3-1600 for $7 less

And at this point if you're not getting an AM3+ motherboard with 900 series chipset (such as the ASUS M5A97 - $81 shipped after promo code ABCDEFG, you lose!

Getting both a Momentus XT and SSD.... doesn't make much sense to me to be honest
