Well.. Based on your criteria, I've put together a system for you.
Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131760
Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115070
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231429
Yes, 16GB of RAM, reason being there's still ton of budget left..
Graphics Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130693
Solid State Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148441
Hard Disk Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136874
Personally I'd get 3 of those 3TB drives, reason being you need lots of it, so it doesn't hurt to have more and there's still a ton of budget.
Optical Disk Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827151232
Blu-ray, again, a ton of budget.
Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817171057
CPU Cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835181017
Quite hard to find custom loop parts on Newegg so I chose this all-in-one solution which is pretty good.
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119150
Bear in mind that this motherboard is E-ATX form factor so take note of that if you wanna change the case.
Final price: $2649.88

As for custom loop, I'll leave it to you to figure out the parts for yourself coz everyone's loop will be a bit different.
Intel, EVGA GPU, ASUS/EVGA Mobo, Western Digital HDD. Crucial SSD. G.Skill Memory.
All of these are present. Reason I chose this 64GB SSD is because You only mentioned that you wanna put your OS on it.

Oh, I forgot to ask if your $3000 budget includes monitor and other peripherals. Does it??

Personally with a budget and goals like you have I'd ditch the 590 and go with two 3GB 580's and three 120Hz monitors for Nvidia surround. If they are too pricey though, you could get similar performance out of two 6970's. I know you said you liked EVGA but these bad boys are awesome!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127589

I'd also recommend going with at least a 120GB SSD. I have a 160GB and with my OS and games/apps loaded I only have 40GB left. Of course you can just run programs off of your HDD but if all you want the SSD to do is run your OS you'll only get good boot times.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820167042

You could also save a bit on the mobo. The Maximus is very nice, but two 580's is all you'll need and something like a P8P67-Pro will handle dual SLI just fine for nearly $200 less.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131703

If you go with my suggestions, you'll also need a better PSU. A good 850W will do fine such as the Corsair AX850 or the Seasonic X-850:

Stuff like case, Optical drive, HDD's etc are more down to personal preference. I also like the Corsair H100 though it is pretty bulky. The H80 costs a little less and provides similar performance with a better look. Of course there's always a custom loop too, but I don't personally see the need.

First off I'd ditch the three monitors because OP says he already has one monitor so he'll only need a second one. He also said that he MIGHT wanna go triple monitor but that's all fine, he can do those a little later. Agree with you on the graphics cards though.
Next, on the SSD, OP said he only need the SSD to store his OS, he didn't mention anything else so I chose this SSD. But it's all fine coz with the parts that I chose, he still has $300+ budget left.
On the motherboard, he's got a ton of budget so he'll be able to do it just fine even with such an expensive motherboard.
The Cooler Master's Silent Pro Gold line of power supplies are really good. As the name suggests, they're really quiet, and they have 80 Plus Gold certification so it's good.
Stuff that are down to personal preference.. I understand that, but still, he's got a ton of budget, so I'm just giving him some suggestions. I mean it's an option, you can choose to follow it or not.
