newbie overclocker wanting to give it more of a go

hey ive pretty recently kinder slipping into overclocking a bit.. but faily crap at it haha. but yeah learning takes time

was wondering
AMD or intel

( am3/am3+ board for amd )
( 775 board for intel )

both gonna just try push chips as far as i can take them. cool it some more and go even more

wondering which i should do?
775s are still pretty expensive second hand for what they are.. unless go into the lower end E6XXX and under. then they are quite cheap ( 10 - 30 bucks ea. )

not sure about second hand amd chips but new dual core athlon is around $50. and quad for like $100...

but either way gonna slowly buy a chip here and their. and also some gpus to play with... all in the name of leaning!

so which should i go with?

No flamming please.. this is not AMD V INTEL PERFORMANCE. its which to play with overclocking....

EDIT: btw i have my cpu cooling set... and itll be able to cool a high end cpu with a high oc pretty easy... atleast.... has all sockets to.
but yeah all good in that area

An AMD Phenom II X4 BE C3 rev. OCs pretty well, but so does a E8X00 on the Intel side. That Q6600 in a better sckt 775 board can OC well too if you have a good revision of that chip.

Both Intel and AMD are fun to OC

why not an LGA 1156, you can pick them up for reasonable money these days.
