I'm sorry, but I wouldn't trust that PSU for this. If it were a better 750W unit, then I'd have more faith in it.

I admit that I am hoping that someone corrects me if I am wrong, but I dunno...

It would probably work on that PSU if you leave the cards at stock and just use them for gaming, but really GTX 580 SLI on a Q6600 is an absolute waste. Get one GTX 580 and spend what you would have spent on the second GTX 580 on upgrading the rest of your computer. Those $500 should easily cover the cost of a Core i5 2500K, Z68 motherboard and 4 GB of DDR3.

The 750W Cooler Master RealPower Pro has a +12V wattage capacity of 648W (the same as the SeaSonic X-650, which is a 650W continuous-rated unit)

Now, Guru3D was able to get their test system to pull 719W from the wall outlet when just the GTX 580s were under load (source). That means that their system pulled about 612W from the power supply, but it doesn't account for the rest of the system: Guru3D recommends adding about 100-150W to account for the rest of the system which brings us way beyond the +12V capacity of the 750W RealPower Pro.

So I would not attempt it. You can if you want to, but I certainly wouldn't.

However, if you had a higher quality 750W with a +12V capacity of 744W, then you'd be fine.

A single stock GTX580 uses ~ 230W Peak in games.. CLICK HERE

That PSU has 648W on 12V+ rail..

So yes it would run two stock GTX580 in SLI..

What he said. You are throwing away money if you buy two for that computer you have, b/c you will get bottlenecked

You're still better off getting one video card and upgrading the rest of your computer. You'll get a lot more bang out of that than out of a pair of new video cards. It'd be a shame to run that kind of hardware on a Q6600.
And mind you, the Q6600 is still a perfectly viable CPU, but for the kind of money you're going to be spending, two video cards isn't the best use of your money in my opinion. I won't mention that again though as that's not the topic, but please give what I said some thought

As for your PSU powering a pair of GTX 570s, yes, it should be fine.
One 580 will be heavily bottlenecked by that cpu let alone 2. waste of money. Take it from me, I had my 580 in my q6600 @ 3.6 before it was in my sig rig. Difference was night and day in games once moving just one 580 to the 2600k.
