Thread Starter
I wanted to open this thread to understand watercooling basics It is time for my upgrade and I just got a new job. So in the coming weeks I'm upgrading to the Phantom NZXT case and preparing to upgrade my CPU to a hex core and my memory to 8 gigs.

I would really appreciate anyones help

Your board won't handle quad cores already, so hex-cores is out of the question. Make sure you stick to only 2 sticks of RAM, so you can overclock higher than with 4 sticks. I recommend a better board before you try to overclock with WCing and end up with a dead board.

Consult this thread and click the MSI tab for the AM3 section to understand a bit of what I'm talking about: Linky

Most basic parts of a WC loop are the res, pump, rad, water blocks (for cpu/gpu), tubing, barbs, and of course distilled water. You'll also have to watch out about mixing copper(blocks) and aluminum (fins on rad), as mixing them will cause corrosion.
