Jesus, at this day and age, people are still asking for a picture of your motherboard.

Just download CPU-Z (http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html) and tell us the brand and model of your motherboard. We'll tell you if you can install a sound card in your machine or not.

Just a heads up for the new guy that the mods and forum editors around here don't like double posting. Just use the edit button.

JMO that you came here looking for headset/headphones. So do that, whichever way you choose to go. Ultrasone,Ultrasone,Ultrasone !!! lol Then if you have enough leftover to get a sound card hey great, if not just save up and get a soundcard for your next upgrade. It isn't like new headphones won't work with onboard, they'll just sound better with a soundcard. Onboard has come along way. The Realtek ALC889 I swear sounds just as good if not better then my older sound card. Of course soundcards have come along ways too and offer a nice improvement over onboard.

These are the cards that you have to choose from: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...20Express%20x1

Like sizzzle said, you can use it onboard, but dedicated does sound better. Just get the headset then a good sound card later on and you will not regret it.

Glad we could of helped.

Thanks for the feedback as well. I'm pretty much in the same boat, but more options on the motherboard. I think I'm settled on the M50 as well.

I was wondering if my onboard sound would even need an actual dedicated sound card. My onboard sound motherboard is an "[CrossFireX] GigaByte Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 Chipset DDR3 ATX Mainboard"(7.1). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
