$500 is a slap in the face to the people that do this professionally. Here's to hoping they realize that and sell it to the highest bidder instead. cheers.gif

Google paid $17,000 to security researchers who found 17 vulnerabilities in Google Chrome. Facebook should be paying those who find security bugs at least $1,000 for every bug they find, a lot more considering they have to do with over a billion users' privacy and security and how much money they have at hand.

2. sell to "black hats"
3. massive profit
4. sell to facebook

Sheesh, this is a joke...$500... add a couple zeros to the end of that and I can/will supply them with some things.

They can chew on my shorts for that tiny bit of money, and while they are at it they can kiss my behind.

They are living up to their Real name....FAILBOOK

Pretty sure hackers could sell those to exploiters for way more.

Yep.
Black hat hackers outnumber White hat hackers in numbers, and many of them are ingeniously skilled, when compared to the White hat hackers. (Yes, fraudsters in hacking are most of the time better then professionals who make a income off of it)

Chances are, the people who find the facebook exploits are most likely Black Hat hackers, and will use them to gain huge cash flow of short term money.

Think about it. If your a hacker, and you happen to find a undiscovered facebook exploit. You could easily sell it, start hacking services, etc, and make hundreds if not thousands (Considering how big facebook is).
Would you really go to facebook and give them the exploit privately, for a much less amount of money? (Now Now, I understand many of the people here has a good moral and would not do this...)

In fact, I wonder if someone would abuse the exploit, then show it to facebook? How would they find out the exploit was used?

So they pay $500 to people to find exploits that could cost them a hell of a lot more? Seems legit.
