I totally agree, but where do you draw the line?
Does having 2x 590s with 4x FPS compared to a single 560 make it unfair to other gamers in FPS?
Does having FIOS vs. cheap DSL from AT&T give me a lower latency and much bandwidth in online gaming?
While we are at it, lets frame cap the game to 20, and the cl_rate to dialup. To put it on an even spectrum.
Multi-monitor usage is a growing crowd, much more so in the last 3 years than the last 20 years. Considering this particular developer supports it in their other games, this can only be seen as a step back from embracing available technologies.
This doesn't phase me all too much, but this is exactly the type of game I would play multi-monitor.

It's a slippery-slope. We use PCs because we want to be able to dictate our levels of performance, not have it arbitrarily set for us.
