possible to slow down fans?

Thread Starter
OK so i have 2 120mm excaliber fans that were 11£ each...they make a louder noise than a damn hoover when CPU/GPU goes over 60% (thats plugged into mobo) they go to full speed when plugged into PSU. Yeah I probably got wrong fans...

Anything I can do, don't want to waste 20£+ seems that they are un-boxed etc..

thanks

A cheap fan controller should do the trick. I too, have a pair of them on my H70 and they were well above 40dba at max speed, so I just had to get a controller to stop my PC from being a jet engine.

Other than that, the fans are really good, they have decent static pressure and have over 100cfm at full power.

You can use a software like speedfan where you can either select their speed manually or let it do it automatically according to temps. For about 30$ you can also get a fan controller which will allow you to control their speed using a knob.

Off-topic:

In the user control panel you can go to "add system" it will allow you to show your hardware in a much cleaner way.

Cheers guys, I think the fan controller option sounds fun:

how does that look? Case is NZXT hush so only 2 fans anyways

this looks kinda expensive at 10 grand and not too sure what it is

It's a server enclosure where you can put several smaller server which are like racks. It's that expensive cause it's for rich corps who can pay and it has special PSUs made for servers which are expensive *****es.
