Please let it ship with better textures than what they've shown. The entire game is not one huge firefight, you can and will notice blurry low res textures as you travel to another location. Stop using the "You can't notice textures while fighting" argument.

I hate to say it because Rage looks pretty good, but my sights are still set and waiting for Doom 4 in this engine. The game still looks great in huge open spaces so I can only imagine the amount of detail they'd be able to put into Doom type maps. I'll still be checking out Rage but please ID give me some Doom footage soon

even the first doom game properly supports 1080p

game will look and run fine on pc, stop with console port game is crap nonsense.

You want to see a bad console port, play devil may cry 3.

PS2 games ported to pc were terrible, almost all recent "console ports" have actually been pretty good. People have very short memories.

I'm making an educated assumption, exactly because of what you quoted. They say they already played through the game and the console versions needs polishing up. They didn't say anything about the PC version needing any polishing, which leads me to make the educated assumption the PC version is much better in terms of polish right now than the consoles.
Are you some sort of Fox News reporter? You are certainly trying to spin some minor tid-bit of information. You even used phrases like "primary platform", "getting all it deserves", "created for PC". The article says none of those things lol.

Well From the picture it looks like Borderlands? Do these two games use the same engine?

no way to really take anything out this other than the game will be out in a couple months.

I've been looking forward to this game...it has been a long time since we have seen anything out of id. (I honestly thought I've read that they were bought out/went under a while back) There was a time they were ranked very high on my list of favorite game studios.
I can't think of a single ID software game released to date that had any sort of major bugs, if any. Carmack is generally pretty anal when it comes to his code.

Latest RAGE video.

Hey, hey, let's keep this a civilized discussion. I consider that "Fox News reporter" incursion of yours an insult, ok ?

What is the problem you have with my assumptions ? I'm not stating them as fact, I'm only making an argument solely based on what they say in the article. It's all logical reasoning. Whether it turns out right or wrong is an entirely different matter.

I'm not trying to spin anything. If you read what I wrote in the OP properly you'll understand.

This is how it starts:

From the article one gets the sensation (...)
How am I trying to "spin some minor tid-bit of information", when I'm clearly stating in the first sentence that that is my opinion based on the sensation I got from what I read ? Please don't distort what I said. My opinion may be wrong, but I'm not trying to pass an opinion for fact.
