It's not just video games, everywhere. Food, music, art. World is getting flattened, and quality is dropping. People have very short memories, it seems. Short attention spans too.

It really didnt compare to current games, I even thought 2006 company of heroes gfx were far superior, then there are other rts games like world in conflict, total war even RUSE. Honestly to me it looked like an HD warcraft 3 which actually looked amazing when it came out.

Again I am not saying its a bad game but if a similiar game released with graphics below its competitors OCN folk would rage. There was a Skyrim thread where people were raging that the game did not have dx11 despite the game looking gorgeous; going as far to say it warrants piracy. Blizzard is probably doing a good thing keeping the gfx not to high to expand its audience, but when other games do that OCN goes crazy.

1. In Starcraft 2, you had to be online to play. I didn't like this idea or the fact that you could only create one account to go online with. So for example, if my Brother wanted to play on my computer, we would have to purchase 2 copies of Starcraft 2 (and now diablo 3) which I'm not a fan of. If you could create two accounts per key, I would be happy. I don't see an issue with their old DRM system, use one CD key that could be logged in at one time. Who seriously plays Diablo 2 SINGLE PLAYER. They don't even let you share accounts from their SC2 EULA. Kind of stupid if you ask me.

2. In a business standpoint, the Online Real Money auction house doesn't bother me that much. There will still be options to purchase items with in-game currency, and with the huge amount of players, they will likely opt out of buying items with real money. Only super-rare items and in game currency being sold for RL money would be likely anyways, everything else could be found or common rares.

Blizzard has been detached from it's core fan base. Now they are trying to rope a new generation in with promise of a diablo to call their own but there is no way this game will have the shelf life of D2, the new gamer wants a fresh game to play every month.
D3 will be the flavor of the month it's released then slowly die in a corner while everyone moves on to the next big thing.
If I need a diablo fix I just play the first one. Even though I have bought over half a dozen copies of D2 in my day.

You've seen how Blizzard fans think. They are among the most deluded and hypocritical of all fanboy groups. I distinctly remember one raging about how LOTR ripped off WC3... This is what we're dealing with here.
