Thanks for the reply. I'm gonna try reversing the fan direction again. The service of the H50 looks pretty rough to my eyes too so when I get a chance I'll lap it as well.

This.

I don't know why on earth corsair recommended these things be set up to take in HOT AIR from the inside of the case and blow it over the radiator in order to COOL the processor. Seems a bit backwards to me huh? Everyone reading this needs to immediately reverse their setups if need be, to take in cold air from the outside. Could be your problem.

why would anyone want to blow hot air into their case ?
if you have good airflow, the h50 works great. if you have garbage airflow, your cpu gets hot.
do you really WANT to subject the rest of your hardware to heat ? figure out and fix your airflow.
