G700 opinions?

Thread Starter
So I have been using a DeathAdder for roughly 5 years now and would like to try something different. I have larger hands and the G700 looks like a perfect fit. With that said, I was curious what other people have to say about it... or if they would suggest something different.

Thanks smile.gif

Can you adjust the acceleration?
Nope, It's there wether you want it or not. It's a downgrade in terms of sensor performance.
Meh

Hmm, because I know my DA is the same way then. You can turn the acceleration off if needed... which I keep it off.
It's not the same as your DA. With the G700, the positive acceleration is there even with it turned off in the drivers. It's an issue inherent with the ADNS-9500 sensor. The DA does not have this problem.

I really like the G700 and I'm looking to upgrade to it myself smile.gif

Personally I really like the design; I think it's really eurgonomic so hits the hand amazingly and the button placement (even though theres like a billion of them) are well placed and instinctive to press. Plus the gear thingy for the scroll wheel and will be used alot by me =p haha

I have heard alot of people talking about lots of different "issues" but ATM I have a £10 pos so it'll still be better (if those floors affect me). TBH these issues are more someones opinion :\ you never know ... one persons problem could be anothers dream setup?

Its the best mouse I've used to date, and I've used tons of mice. You'll love the amount of button it has and chances are it'll be difficult going back to other mice after you've grown accustomed to being able to change songs, adjust volume, or whatever using the 13 buttons.

My previous G700 had a coating flaking problem but it seems that they fixed that with a rougher coating in a new revision. The scrollwheel however is plated with some sort of brownish nickel that flakes after a month of use (already is happening with my replacement), so they need to get that sorted out.
