[TPU] Zotac unveils watercooled gpu solutions - Page 12

You do it at your own risk. Unless of course you have those awesome brands and products that do and that are designed for it.

The cooler will cool the card. They are selling the card at stock. The cooler will most likely perform better than its vapour chamber counterpart with the fan set to intake.

All i said was that it will cool the 580. I never even vaguely mentioned OCing.

All you had then was a massive whine about your issues with companies and their warrenty policies. Mate... were talking about cooling a GPU in the state it comes in.

P.S. Testing is testing, there the same thing. There is more intentsive testing but "Testing" is still "Testing".

Edit: Please excuse spelling and the lack of or inappropiate use of grammar. Im on my phone and im to tired to check my post.
If you call simple statements of facts "whining" I have to assume that you're a lawyer, or even worse, a politician.
All I was doing is showing the OCers of this site, (this is OCN, Corky), that this will be a complete waste of money for overclockers such as myself. I.E., telling them they shouldn't blow their money on something like this and still be able to OC.
There is never any excuse whatsoever for bad grammar. If you're too tired to properly use the English language then you should also be too tired to flame someone's post when all they're trying to do is help. Helping others is a trait of Forums such as OCN. You are pushing this product almost as if you have a stake in how well it sells. You wouldn't happen to be a factory representative would you? Or maybe work for BestBuy or its equivalent wherever you're located?

I doubt that 120mm radiator will cut it, if it was an XSPC rx standard radiator I would believe so.

This won't handle the heat, and it will look pretty ugly with a system which has a H50 or enclosed wc kit for their CPU already.
You just need the right case for it or do as me move the H50 radiator outside and make it part of the design! Just as there now are better CPU coolers there will hopefully come better GPU coolers later, but no, they will probably not replace REAL WC. But that is not where the biggest market is.

@awdrifter

At first i was like *** is that crappy score but since comparing it to other heaven V2.5 scores it is very good. That said, lets dig into the bios and see what else this baby has to offer.

One thing i am concerned about is the lack of cooling for the vram ect. The full cover block zotac offers can set you mind at ease. Id like to see blocks like these offered for other models like my own card. Id trade in my mod cooler for a proper full coverage block.

Thanks to cravinmilds tips, I was able to slap a Antec 620 on my reference 480. It was actually much easier then I thought. I will eventually post pictured but the avg reduction is about -20 and no fan noise! It was a simple removal of the reference heatsink. Left on the case and the fan to cool memory. Full load at OC'd doesnt reach above 70 and idle is cool 38.

I used Nibitor to mod the bios, check to see if it supports your card.

Ram sinks are the next best alternative I guess, the 560Ti doesn't seem to run that hot, I doubt there will be full cover blocks.

im thinking heatsinks and a fan attached to the back of the gpu to push air into and across the board, this should take much more heat away than the stock solution, that method allowed for ZERO/next to none air movement to those parts.

Once the Corsair Link is released ill pick up that to control the rest of the fans that run full blast right now, too much noise to think of adding more uncontrolled fans...........ouch. Ive dropped 4 fans now and only running with 12 fans of various sizes at the moment.

bios modding will be used shortly, just want to wrap my head around the ins and outs before starting that.

Sad Nvidia will be releasing a new line up soon, this 560 will be collecting dust soon.

Looks like newegg is stocking the 580 already for $659.99: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814500214
