Best Sub £200 ($360) GPU

Thread Starter
GREETINGS ALL!

I have been away from OCN for a while but I have been pondering this question and had some discussions with friends...

So what is the best Sub £200.. (or $360 for the Americans among us) GPU?

Now im an nVidia boy so its clearly going to be the GTX 560Ti, but what do the AMD fanboys or other people think?

Well to be honest, the best isn't a GTX 560 Ti for <200. In fact, I'd reckon its a GTX 480 followed by a HD 6950.

Yeah my brief ATI (er.. I mean AMD) research shows the 6950 or the 5870 to be AMD's best.

You really think a 480? They are some HOT running chips no?

You cannot find and 480's for £200 these days. They were £200 some months ago, not any more due to scarcity.

I reckon a 6950 will probably be it.

I concur, there is also a really nice waterblock for £55 (and I found a 2GB version of the card)

I love me some AMD.

Pretty much right now there are two great bang for buck deals around (not at the price you listed for that 480 though): the GTX 480 either alone or in sli, or the 6850/70 xfire are pretty much imo right now's best performance/price cards out there. The 580's are horribly overpriced, the 6970 don't overclock that well, and the 570's are just a neutered 480
