Need Wireless Printer suggestion

Thread Starter
My family are looking for a good wireless printer, anyone have any suggestions? It'll be used occasionally for non-professional prints, mostly for personal use and sometimes for college papers. The type of printer doesn't matter too much, whatever is best bang for buck on the ink.

I'm feeling kind of lazy right now due to the temps outside, so I'm going to quote my reply from another similar thread.

Any of the mid-range Canon Pixma line would be a good choice I think. The reason I picked the model I did was because Best Buy had them on special for $99 (half off, regularly $199). Part of the reason for this might be because it's red, hence the "R" in the model number. I didn't care what color it was as long as it worked. We have been using HP's throughout our office, but they seem to be getting cheaper and cheaper each year.

Pros:
Prints excellent quality pictures
Adjustable print quality to save ink for office documents
Separate ink cartridges. Replace only the one that runs out. There are 4 smaller tanks for black, yellow, cyan, and magenta. These are dye cartridges for printing images. The 5th one is a big, black pigment tank for documents.
2 paper feeds. One is a tray underneath and you can also feed from the slot in the back.
2-sided printing
Wireless was EASY to set up. I have this on the corner of my desk with just a power cord running to it. I can print off any of my computers wirelessly.
Good form factor. Stays closed up until you send a print job, then it opens up automatically.
There's a lot of other things I like about it, but I don't want to sound like a commercial...

Cons:
I don't really have anything bad to say about it yet.

Just my 2c worth...hope it helps,

Rich
To specifically address your request, I will add that it can print borderless pics up to 8.5"x11", and they are pretty much indistinguishable from a traditional print at viewing distance (even up close, I really can't tell).

It uses a dye-sublimation process for photographs and the individual dye cartridges run around $10-12. The larger black pigment cartridge for printing documents is around $15.

The unit itself is very well built and looks nice on your desk. Setting up the wireless was as easy as configuring a new laptop to a wireless network (took me about 15 minutes).
