In the market for a new psu

Hello!
My psu kinda died(too bad) and i am looking to buy a new one.
The pc is in my sig. Some further info are:
a) I plan to change my gpu soon but nothing too expensive, probably a 560.
b) I might built another pc in 2012 probably sandy bridge so i want my psu to be future proof.
c) I will never watercool or have a CF/SLI setup.

I guess that i could go as far as 800 watts although i believe its an overkill for my current setup. So what are you guys recommending?

Any idea of a budget? Like under $100?

Do you need Modular, or will a decent non-modular unit do?

Also 800 wats is about 300 more then you will need even with your new gpu.

Prices are much different in my country so lets just assume that i dont have a budget.
I would prefer a modular unit. I know that its way to much but i would like to keep this new psu in case i need it for a future rig.

Well then if price is of no object then on performance and being modular I suggest you look up

Antec HCP 750w
Season X750( Or Corsair AX750 they are the same unit really.)
Silverstone Strider Plus 750w

Those should be sufficiently future proof even if you decide to SLI in the future.

Au Contraire , I would recommend a CORSAIR HX750 750w is plenty for your setup.

Well, if you're looking at future CPUs, they'll probably use less power than overclocked Bloomfield. Also, an HD 4890 uses a bit more power than a GTX 560 Ti (and especially GTX 560). At the moment, 500W or so is good, but in the future you may not need quite that much.

I suggest the ADATA HM-550 (CWT PSHII). That's usually a decent price in Europe. Silverstone Strider Plus 600W maybe, just because the 500W version is different and not that good. Seasonic M12II, Cooler Master Silent Pro/Gold, FSP Aurum CM (regular Aurum is not modular), XFX XXX, Corsair HX/AX/TX-M if the price is right are all decent choices.
