VB.net automate mouse click

I'm trying to have a program perform a click on a certain location (and then some other stuff) when a button is pressed I tried the following
Code:
mouse_event(MOUSEEVENTF_LEFTDOWN, Int(txtX.Text), Int(txtY.Text), 0, 0)
        mouse_event(MOUSEEVENTF_LEFTUP, Int(txtX.Text), Int(txtY.Text), 0, 0)

With the following sub's
Code:
Private Declare Sub mouse_event Lib "user32" (ByVal dwFlags As Integer, ByVal dx As Integer, ByVal dy As Integer, ByVal cButtons As Integer, ByVal dwExtraInfo As Integer)
    Private Const MOUSEEVENTF_LEFTDOWN = &H2
    Private Const MOUSEEVENTF_LEFTUP = &H4
    Private Const MOUSEEVENTF_RIGHTDOWN = &H8
    Private Const MOUSEEVENTF_RIGHTUP = &H1

These don't do anything, and searching around some more I found a few things saying that the new way was a 'SendInput.send click or something' but VS 2008 doesn't recognize the SendInput.

How do I do this?

Why simulate a mousclick? Why not just call a routine that is called when the mouse is clicked?

Because I was clicking on something that was not part of my program. I also figured it out turns out dx and dy aren't really the x and y coordinates that you want to click, so I set those all to 0 instead of inputting the txt box value, and just moved the cursor instead and bam it worked.
