Two recommendations for the 212+, sounds like a winner.

But say if I were to invest in the Corsair h50/70/90.. would it definitely be worth the money if I ever wanted 4.8Ghz stable/cool?

212+ IS a winner, just look at the owners forum lol. Well yes and no, i would be comfortible going to a ~4.8 o/c with the h100 but nothing less, if your thinking that you do want to goto a oc that high or higher then you should invest in a proper WC loop, using dedicated equipment, radiators, pumps, hose etc etc

The 212+ is a great little cheap cooler but its not going to get you any farther than 4.7-4.8GHz. For more you'll need something like a Noctua NH-D14 or a Corsair H80...
