Insane Vdroop? Almost 0.1v!?

Thread Starter
Right now my Phenom II 965 is running at 3.7GHz, and while running a LinX test I watched my vcore drop from 1.416v all the way down to 1.344. Now I know that I can stop the vdroop by enabling LLC, but when I get a little bit of "vboost" and my computer makes a strange buzzing noise when under load, so I left it off, not to mention I'm a bit worried about these dangerous voltage spikes that LLC can cause. Is this too much vdroop, or is this just normal?

It is normal for a 870 chipset.

My gigabyte mobo vboosts .25-.5 on 0 load. No buzzing sound.

I would be sketch about the buzzing though.

If I were you just find a stable overvolt... if you have enough to cool your processor it will be fine.
