I'm pretty sure the code 16 post code is referring to your ram. Try going into the bios and setting the ram manually to a stable speed (~1600mhz) and see if it will boot up like that.

You could also just turn the computer off and hold down the clear cmos button at the bottom of the board (for ~15s) and then load default setting on startup and see if that fixes it for you.

Boot with one stick of RAM installed. Load optimized defaults. Flash to the newest bios
(Mainboards > EVGA P55 Series > P55 FTW BIOS.) After successfully flashing the bios, set the RAM timings and voltage to the WORST kit (probably the gateway). So that might be something like 1333mhz 9-9-9 or whatever and probably 1.5v (really not that good of an idea to mix and match RAM... but it is possible). Increase CPU VTT voltage (should be called that, maybe QPI/VTT or QPI/DRAM) to + .1v from the value it was set at. Save these settings. Turn off the computer and install all the memory.

Then you should be good.

How do I flash to the newest bios? And does it matter which slot the ram goes in?

Just burn the iso to a CD and boot to it, EVGA makes it pretty easy. Yes, consult the manual. If I had to guess it's the second slot from the CPU. If you want just increase the CPU VTT voltage before you flash the bios. It might make the 4 sticks run okay.

Oh my bad. Well the instructions are on the page, but I would recommend updating in DOS because it's much safer. Just run afudos.bat when in DOS mode.

MSI has a great tutorial for making a flash drive bootable to DOS here.

Those beeps are pretty normal with this board.
