Upgrading to GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked :D - Page 3

Well as long as you paid $15 extra or less, then why not? If it makes you a happier person, good for you. You're probably still getting a loud card due to the fan design though.

actually, my gtx 260 at 720 core, never went above 50 percent fan speed, and usually stayed around 40 percent which is complelty silent

I love the 260 c216's ... mine was a great OC'er as well before it got relegated to physX duty. I say go for it. 1) You're trading it, not buying, and most importantly: 2) You said your current card is a ****ty OC'er. So why not. You seem like you really like the card. I say go for it and have fun. At worst, you'll have an equal'ish card and a few hours of fun testing the OC on your new card.

Yup, that's the right calc. And that's really some pretty amazing OC scaling considering the core OC is only 25.8%. Memory OC's help quite a bit on 260's though, too.

Unfortunately though Cy I've had to remove your posts (including the one I quoted here) talking about having cards for sale ... that's not allowed outside the marketplace. Please don't try to 'get around' the rules in this manner moving forward.
