Hi, im looking for some new headphones, i currently own 202 but i want something better, price dosent matter, just suggest, i want them to be bass heavy, and i want no distortion, as for the games, i dont need them to know if someone does one step on the top left 100 feet etc, i just want them to be enjoyable, y mean, i dont care them to be pro gamer, i prefer them to make the game more enjoyable, i think i didnt miss anything, thank you and sorry if i misspelled something, im from argentina.

EDIT: i have a pioneer a 101 but i can get better ones sometimes for my dads works (he works selling audio and video) so sometimes i can get beter ones

You'll want to look at a pair of ultrasone HFI-780s. Sadly, bass heavy and good for games rarely goes together, but the ultrasones are the cans that manage to bridge the gap the most. They have powerful bass, and use "S-Logic", which is a technology from ultrasone that widens the soundstage and makes them adequate for gaming. Their mid-high registers are clear, but again, most of the emphasis will be in the bass, which from your post, you seem to want.

A big factor in this though, is what is your sound source? Are you going to be playing off of onboard sound, or do you have a dedicated sound card or external USB DAC?

i think im getting titanium HD
again i dont need to hear the ecsact point where the sound come from and loose another things, i prefer some headphones that make the game experience better

EDIT: idk if u get me

The titanium HD would be exactly the sound card i would recommend. Creative's positional audio software is the best out there, which will help for gaming, and its sound quality is stellar as well. Creative gets a lot of bad reputation for their lower end cards and their dated and awful drivers, but the Titanium HD is in a class of its own. I would still go with my previous recommendation, the Ultrasone HFI 780s, or, if you want even more expensive bass heavy cans, the ultrasone 900s.

I understand, i play cello, bass reproduction needs to be accurate and full to satisfy my tastes.

As for more popular brands, none of them I know (within a reasonable price range) will give you the combinations of soundstage and bass of the ultrasones. Theyre a decently large company, so if your dad can get you a discount, it would be incredibly worth it.

When you do get your headphones, don't forget to stop by OCNs headphone thread and say hello, maybe posts some pics and discuss how they sound

Ultrasone HFI580/HFI550/DJ1/ Alienware Ozma 5 (all rebrands of same product) would still do the job. Great bass, good soundstage for gaming. Can be found for <$130
