You only need a 650 watt to run Crossfire 6870s. Also I would not recommend watercooling those cards. Yes you will get a performance boost but IMO it would not be worth the money you would pay in water blocks ($100 each) when those cards don't get very hot in the first place. Also why not wait until BD and see how that goes? Even if you decide to stick with the 6-core Thuban the price for the above CPU will drop considering that is currently AMD's flagship CPU and it's going to be replaced with a whole new line of processors.

Don't get the 6870s, at least at that price. The ones you have are slightly overpriced, so I suggest getting cheaper ones OR getting a gtx 560 ti/gtx 570.

EDIT: Just read the post after me, and cannot agree more. First, if you MUST get a phenom II x6, get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103849 alot cheaper. Otherwise, wait for Bulldozer.

1) Wait for BD.
2) Stay away from MSI mobo.
3) Get a 9** series mobo.

keep your cpu until bulldozer, the thubans should drastically lower in price
ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231402

also that motherboard will give you the option for Bulldozer upgrade, and you dont have to worry about frying the 8+2 vrms

As far as cases go;
1. Do you want to use Air or Liquid cooling?
2. Are you wanting to overclock at all?
3. What is your budget, roughly

I would stay away from MSI motherboards.

This. Nothing here needs to be changed. The only thing that I would say is swap out that power supply for the XFX PRO650 because for about the same price you get a partially modular power supply that performs just as well as the Corsair.

Actually there's one thing that could be changed; the Newegg 24 hour sale has a 2x4GB DDR3-1333 CL7 kit (G.Skill Ripjaws X) for $55 after promo - a $20 savings

The PSU is a good unit, but this PSU will provide similar performance and capability for less - way less (it's recommended by most OCN PSU experts and is in the OCN recommended PSU thread)
