^ for testing, try running portal... I get a stutter whenever I open a portal. However, I was able to deduce that the stuttering only occurs for about the first 5 minutes of gameplay and then stops.

BabyBalla, what are u running the game at in terms of settings? If I put game textures on high or higher then I get stuttering. That setting is what causes it for me.
