h50 mod materials

Im going to mod my h50. Im gonna put a swiftech micro res and I was wondering what size tubing is the best for the h50 also recommendations on barbs and compression fittings are welscome

well, I don't think the pump is super strong so I'd stick with 3/8" ID and I like compression fittings because they look clean and they've never failed me, however I've also heard plenty of good things about barbs and many people swear by them. It's really just up to preference there.

Cool, I hope to see a log.

I plan on getting some small white tubing one day and maybe the smallest res I can get from frozen-q and modding my h60.

Compression fittings are more finicky with tube sizes then barbs but they seal better. Barbs are cheaper, less picky about tube sizes, don't look as nice. Best to use a form of clamping to guarantee no leaks.

Yeah ill get compression fittings for res and rad and this I s a noob question but do I apply thermal paste to h50 or cpu and how do I apply it

well there are several different methods. some say make a line down the cores, others say a pea/BB size dot in the center and others say spread it yourself. I'm an AS5 guy and they have a little guide http://www.arcticsilver.com/intel_ap...on_method.html

Yeah ill get compression fittings for the res and and rad. Also this is a nooob question but when I reapply TIM do I put it on the cpu or h50 and how do I apply it?
