Anyways, I definitely agree w/ GB. Quad blocks is purrrtty heavy. I've seen some flimsy card support devices but I'm sure you can get a shop to custom make you a support bracket to ease the weight off the UD9.

I also think that all the heat from the cards over that area of the board are probably contributing which is why I never had a problem before with the last build.
Once the blocks go on and temps go down, hopefully that will be the last of it!
I've found a solution to this i think by securing the cables to the underside of the MB support rail to reduce the cable droop pressure and will look at putting a rubber strip slightly heigher than the top of the MB pcie slot along the edge of the MB at the back of the board to help relieve pressure on the board. The PCIE slot screw mount should relieve pressure at the other end.
I also got a complete metric and imperial tap & die set so I can drill and tap holes around the case for the cable clamps I got from MDPC.
I might even look at a threaded insert rivet gun and put some riveted threads in instead of drilling and tapping because the metal is only 1.2mm in most places, not enough for a thread to grip!Edited by Phatboy69 - 10/6/11 at 8:46pm
