To be honest, there's actually some decent headsets at that price point (yes, I said headsets...don't hate, let me explain). The SteelSeries Siberia V2 is $75 on Amazon. This thing is tried and true and has been used by pro gamers for almost 10 years through its different iterations (since the original Icemat Siberia). It's super comfortable and the sound quality actually isn't that bad. Positional audio is definitely there.

Another that seems to be getting good reviews is the Thermaltake eSports Shock Spin headset. Here is a review for it.



Although I would still recommend the HA-RX700 + clip-on mic, these aren't bad options by any stretch of the imagination, and if you really hate having 2 wires, then maybe one of them is right for you.
