Honestly, thermal paste doesn't matter that much. Just use whatever is on hand. I have always used OCZ Freeze and MX-3.
Yeah I have IC Diamond, and I left it in boiling hot water for about 10 minutes. Its a good compound, and its not bad, all the high end ones are pretty much the same. Just depends if you want to deal with the thickness or not.
Strange, MY CPU's IHS lettering is still there.
Go for AS5, Shin-Etsu, or any others suggested.. You can use IC diamond if you want, just put it in boiling hot water for around 5-10 minutes.Edited by brobanmanx2 - 8/4/11 at 7:51am
