I always viewed raiding as the ultimate goal in PvE MMOs. You spend days/weeks/months leveling through the world, experiencing various zones and accompanying quests. When you reach the cap, you spend days/weeks/months gearing up, joining PuGs, and perfecting your enchants/reforges/gems. Then you try and fine a spot in a successful raiding guild..
..And after all of that you raid. The rest of that stuff can be fun too, but ultimately it's there to emphasize satisfaction when your guild finally downs those bosses. If you don't like raiding, there really isn't any reason to play WoW aside from Arena PvP.Edited by Narzon - 8/5/11 at 10:56am
