Or not? Its summer and nice out, MMOs always see a drop in player base during these times. If WoW players are going anywhere its Rift. Plus after so much "WoWing" people tend to leave out of boredom (see most replys to original post).

A lot of us left a while ago and come back after every expansion for a month or so to see new content then leave again.

Were all just waiting for GW2 really

Significant numbers, no doubt, but I still feel it has more to do with the economy, and general satiation of older players. WoW still has the most interesting and developed PvE raids of any MMO out there, so my friends and I will continue playing it. Firelands is actually pretty difficult, and some of the fights in there really are insane. Blizzard is still finding ways to create new and unique mechanics.

eh if people can't raid they should quit. There's nothing to do at 85 unless you are raiding. I'm thinking about quitting just because it's gotten really boring redoing all the fights for heroic mode.

I always viewed raiding as the ultimate goal in PvE MMOs. You spend days/weeks/months leveling through the world, experiencing various zones and accompanying quests. When you reach the cap, you spend days/weeks/months gearing up, joining PuGs, and perfecting your enchants/reforges/gems. Then you try and fine a spot in a successful raiding guild..

..And after all of that you raid. The rest of that stuff can be fun too, but ultimately it's there to emphasize satisfaction when your guild finally downs those bosses. If you don't like raiding, there really isn't any reason to play WoW aside from Arena PvP.

How insightful. I recall seeing this sentence about a thousand times over 4 years ago. Why does it need to end? Because you don't like it? Oh, better call Blizzard up, we can't have that. Every WoW topic seems to have dozens of ignorant, selfish, and frankly useless comments like this.
