[MMO] WoW Lost 300k Subscribers - Page 9

Wow was epic in vanilla days, when epics were hard to get and you had 39 other people raiding with you. And only a handful of raids where actual thought was put into the encounters and they were challenging. TBC was only a little worse, 25 man was still semi-epic feeling and some of the fights were a real bear (pre-nerf Kael, Muru, etc). Now its just a joke, they have everything dumbed down where you get freakin epic items from everything. I understand they want to make casuals happy, but it's no fun when they dumb it down so much.

I'd gladly play on a highly populated "vanilla only" server where AQ gates were closed and the level cap was 60, and the old pre-cata world was intact. Now that would be fun.

im sure you can find a PServer for that.

Anyway, i find it amusing that people argue about WoW being the same content over and over again, easy mode, time waster, but are looking forward to GW2 and TOR

Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't those 2 MMO's striving to become time sinks too? To draw you in and play them? Why is it WoW being a time sink is bad, but TOR/GW2 would be good? The hypocrisy sometimes shown on the internet is entertaining

So the game goes free(for the first few levels at least) and they still lose accounts?
Sad...

Personally, I quit because if/when your guild falls apart, you lose all the guild perks being guildless. Then, even if you re-join a good guild (high level), your rep is at a minimum. And unless you raid or arena often, it can take a ton of grinding to get your guild rep back.

That's why I'm not going back.

This is kinda obvious paying monthly to play a game wasn't going to last that much.
It's a good time to release DIABLO III blizzard, but do it right....already no eyefinity and no lan always online,no more disappointments....release it this year.

Still enjoying myself plenty well but I've gotten into the game quite late. If someone was already playing for 6+ years though then I can understand that. I am curious as to what will be after Cataclysm though.
