Just wondering though... If I had more money to spend and wanted to swap out an HDD for an SSD, which SSD do you recommend that I get? Do I have to switch the remaining hdd out with something else?

ps I have a keyboard mouse monitor thanks for asking.
I would get a F3 1tb drive and raid it with an SSD. You'll probably get a 60-90gb drive (should be enough), suitable for your OS + games + programs. I would recommend a Crucial M4, they go on sale often so you're looking about spending $80-$110 on an SSD depending on whether or not you can score a deal.

And to answer your question, no you would not have to swap out the remaining HDD. The F3 i still recommended when pairing with an SSD for raid, really, regardless of which SSD you pick.

Not right now it's not more power for your money, not a chance.

A simple $500 gaming build maybe but not for this.

Buy a cheaper motherboard, buy 1 hard drive and drop the RAID. Also, the Corsair 600w power supply is on sale for 72 hours at Newegg for $39.99 after rebate. Use the savings to bump up your video card and you'll end up with a faster gaming rig.

Agree with this. What is it with people buying a 750W PSU when using 1 GFX card and air cooling and not even the most power consuming? It's not like you HAVE to spend all your 1300 dollars. Buy what you need, don't just burn it for fun.

the 750 watt psu added considering future crossfire option.....

and abalanced rig is what matters....i dont think i have added any unnecessary parts....
and it does not make sense in getting a uber card and to pair it with cheap components....
motherboard isthe foundation of pc it should never be cheaped out......hope i made myself clear...

i7 2600k is a waste of money for gaming......
theonly worthwhile mod tothe above rig might be change of gfx card from hd6970 to hd 6950 n crossfire in future.....
period

Cooler master hyper 212+
Asus maximus IV gene
Gskill ripjaw x series 2x2gb 1600mhz
Asus dvd/cd burner drive
Ocz 90gb ssd vertex 2
Corsair hx850 PSU
Evga gtx 570
Cooler master scout case

It should be right at 1270 so with shipping should make it 1300.
I know 90gb isn't much but the ssd is well worth it and hdd Arnt very expensive so I'm sure you'll survive until you have the $80 for a 1t hd.

Hi

They ran out of that video card... what should I get in its place? I still have around 350 to spend.
