Maybe I should learn to use more fingers for a better typing experience?

Not sure.

But Hey, I got a Higher X2 550 BE OC On you. I can get mine to 4Ghz @ 1.55V's.

No.

I learned the 'proper' way but I do it with my index fingers and pinkies. I still type pretty quick and can type while looking away or talking to someone.

Edit: I never realized there are 'improper' typists here.
If I put my try-hard 2.0 cap on, I can get to 96WPM, But that's basically insane.
When I went to public school until about 5 months ago, every single kid couldn't type to save their lives. But, they could text to save there lives, and I can't. xD

Hitting 60WPM is impressive enough for them. xD

I "chicken peck" (look at the keyboard) most of the time. I've been practicing touch typing. Regardless, the last typing test I took I managed 59wpm with 0 errors. So not too bad for someone that's never taken a typing class.

FWIW, yes, I use all of my fingers.

I've always been a two finger typer. Just use my index and middle finger. My accuracy is above 90% with 110-115 wpm. I also recently switched to a mechanical keyboard and i am not quite use to it yet, so I'd add another 5 personally. I find it kinda cool how my speed is that high because i'm only 15 years old right now, so i think by the time i am an adult, I should have an even faster speed with two fingers. I never want to use all my fingers because its fun going to school and typing faster then everyone else with half the fingers they are using. Shows the teachers not to say "your not typing correctly". Thats so annoying and plain stupid to say. I just want to say that there is NO such thing as a proper way of typing. Everyone has a different style and as you can see, using all your fingers wont make you faster either...

I taught myself how to type. Forget school lessons, especially since i type faster then the computer professor so he cant argue against me when it comes to this subject, lol.

eh I'm improper i use everything except my pinky's with the exception of hitting the shift key's with em.

I type with the basic home row concept, but I rarely actually rest my fingers there. My left hand is nearly always on ASDF, and my right either hovers or lands on JKL; anyways. Rarely do my hands actually stay put when typing though, I jump around a lot. Mainly because I have small hands, and it's easier to hit certain keys with certain fingers.

For instance, I hit almost all of my keys with my right hand with my middle finger, and I really only use my pointer finger for hitting the spacebar, and N. If I'm using my ring or pinky fingers, it's because I have to stretch across the keyboard to hit something.

On the other hand, I fluently use my left hand entirely. Most of the time while I'm typing though, I use my pointer to hit spacebar on my right hand, but if the last letter ended on the left hand, I always hit spacebar with my left thumb.

...I type awfully, but I use basic principles to keep my WPM above 100.

Dude, that's awesome! 110wpm with only 4 fingers! Could you post a screenshot from the typing test that was posted earlier in this thread so I can be genuinely impressed?

I can manage ~120 wpm using all my fingers. I never get how people can type using only one or two fingers... it's much easier to use all of them

Xeb, we have a lot in common.
