I just bought that too. With the dual bios its simple flash a second bios and overclock it. The cooler is probably quieter and better.

Also dual bios means nothing, the dirt 3 edition is not shader unlockable.

I never understood why AIBs launch new last-gen cards this close to next-gen.

I guess there's a sucker born every minute.

I like how the shroud is sloped at the top so that if multiple cards are sandwiched together in a Crossfire setup, the fan can still get some air. I also like how the card dumps heat out the back of the case instead of dumping it into the case. Definitely looks like a great card.

if they could have added a back plate then more people would get this card.

I would wait till the 7xxx line of cards.. they are not far off and will drop some prices on the 6xxx cards. Then maybe some day I can afford to get a 6970 - or a 6950x2 LOL

They really won't drop prices that much. You will maybe see a 6970 for 20$ less and the 7970 priced at 100 or so dollars above that.

Just because they have a new process and can make way more powerful cards doesn't mean they will make them right away and still sell you a gimped version of what they created in their labs.

You won't see dramatic price drops until well into 2012.
