How To: How do i record CoD4 Gameplay - Page 2

With my specs (sig) i recorded this

using fraps, so i'm sure your PC must do better. Try recording with 60 fps if not lower ur CoD4 settings, disable things like vSync, ragdoll, soften smoke edges, specular, AA, reduce resolution. And try again, if still your not satisfied then try recording with 30 fps.

If you were to buy hardware you should probably upgrade your processor. You would want at least a quad core to record while playing.

I have - AMD Phenom(tm) 9750 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Check my Spec here - http://www.xfire.com/profile/dutybound/

Your CPU is a little on the slower side, but it should be capable of what you want to do. Try recording to a second hard drive, like already stated. You can't really use FRAPs or MSI AB though, because Punkbuster detects it as cheating.

Depends on your EXACT motherboard. Anything from an Athlon II x4 to a Phenom II x4 955BE would be a decent upgrade, just depends.

As a cod player the best way to do this is using the /record command.
Download a program from google called Cod4 demo player. Then all you have to do is double click the demo file and it will play through cod.

Once you are watching your demo, type /cl_avidemo "60" (the 60 is how many fps you want to record at)

You then have to convert the avi to a format viewable on sony vegas or something.

^ These steps are very breif and i have personally never done it before hence some of my instructions may be incorrect(as i am not a frag vid maker i have only ever appeared in them)

But here is a link to a GREAT website on full details including nice movie configs to make the game look awesome for your finished product -> http://www.callofduty.se/movieguide/

Sorry i couldnt be of any more help.

Well... I have, Sony Vegas 10 Pro would i been playing the "Demos" through call of duty or through the cod player? if it is the player that may work perfect because it is not "Extremely" bad in do-able but not viable for what i want it for.
