Sleep mode connection loss

Thread Starter
Every time my pc goes into sleep mode it loses internet connection and takes awhile for it to reconnect upon waking. Is there any way to fix this? The "Allow the computer to turn off this device" is unchecked for the network adapter.

My father is also having this problem on his laptop. Most of the times he needs to restart the router to get the computer back on internet after waking from sleep mode.

He have tried to upgrade both firmware on router and drivers on the laptop with no help. Also tried setting a static IP, but still wont get access to the internet.

Any help on this topic would be great
