Troubles with my 5770!

Thread Starter
I just recently bought a 5770, and installed it into my computer. I have a dual radiator loop setup, with my GPU at around 40 degrees.

Whenever I run a stress test at stock settings, it soon crashes. (The screen goes black)
I am also wondering if my PSU can handle my system.
Here are my specs:

Sapphire 5770
400W antec PSU
AMD Athlon Dual core processor at 3.7 GHz
Running Catalyst 11.7

Help is greatly appreciated.

I dare say it should. It sounds like you may need to increase the CPU voltage a bit.

I ran a CPU test that ran all night, its just when I run a test that stresses the GPU.

Hmm... I assume the drivers are up to date? What is the PSU model?

11.7's are bad-news-bears .. try the 11.4 drivers and re-test.

*black-screen -> crash to desktop = driver fail
*black/grey/green-screen -> hardlock.. no recovery until re-boot = GPU core issue.. heat/voltage/OCP etc.
