[NS] Battlefield 3 Karkand expansion priced - Page 3

Keep in mind that these are not just maps. Compare it to BC2:Vietnam where it has different weapons, vehicles, and soldiers from the vanilla game.. Like a game with in a game.

No, but they do contain rehashes of old maps that are slightly updated... since they use the same engine it's practically plug-and-play with their "new" maps that they put out for each game.

I'm pre-ordering anyway... but this makes my unhappy. This had better not be the beginning of a Battlefield trend.

Once again bf2 was a great game. IT had several map packs too, special forces, armored fury and a euro one. Bought them all. Will buy every map pack for BF3 too. I dont care who makes the game. And if your waiting on steam to have it. I guess i wont be seeing you on the battlefield. Have fun in CSS.

Paying $15 for content that should already be included in the game is ridiculous. That's the future of gaming I guess; paying extra for content that should already be in the game. But what do I know.

New or not, its time to face it, this is what gaming is going to become over the next few years, making money threw selling ingame items and paying for all or alteast most dlc, small or big. Companies are just starting to utilize this now. Might as well get use to it. Some games now literally come on purpose missing content they know they could of adding in, just so they can make more money off of people that are going to want everything or to piece in the entire storyline.

Oh dear. Here comes the "OMG THEY DON'T WANT TO GIVE MOD TOOLS CAUSE OF PAID DLC". Know why we get shoddy ports these days? Cause the general gaming community views the PC community as freeloading crybabies, and pirates.

EA HAS NEVER SHIPPED MOD TOOLS WITH BATTLEFIELD GAMES, AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH PAID DLC.

At the end of the day its a company that needs to make money! I assume that some of you haters work, right. Has your place of employment not raised prices. Were still paying the same 50 bucks a game we did in 1990. Only were getting better quality of games now.If you cant afford 15 bucks for a product you enjoy you need a better job or your living too tight.

I want legit expansion packs. BC2: vietnam was pretty close to the way it used to be, hopefully strike at karkand similarly has all classic weapons. If not, it will just be 4 maps (old maps no less) that have been ported, which is not worth 15 bucks IMO. Oh well, I'm pre ordering anyway.

Besides even BF2 didn't have official mod tools afaik.
What I mean is why have the community make great mods for free when we there is the potential to buy them from EA/DICE?
