Catalyst 11.7 causing problems for anyone? - Page 5

I haven't been able to run Afterburner for the last few rev's of ATI driver. BFBC2 100% guaranteed to either dump me to desktop, or BSOD (most often) when it is running. Buddy of mine has the same issue w/ Crossfired 5770s. Too bad too; the fan curves are outstanding. Perhaps a future rev will allow me to go back to using Afterburner.

I'm using single unlocked 6950. I've had 11.7 for a few days and have had no "new" problems, just the random screen freezes for 8 or so secs that I was getting before and with every driver set I've had.

I had a complete crash with 11.8 so I rolled back to 11.7 for the time being, but otherwise 11.8 worked well for a good while. I'll go back to it after I do some more testing with 11.7.

I've run 11.5, 11.6, 11.6a, 11.6b, 11.7, 11.8 preview and all have been perfect with my 6950 Guessing i'm one of the lucky ones!

The only problem i've ever had is with Crysis2 locking up when my GPU is overclocked, even when stable

Sometime it's not really the GPU Driver issue, more or less could be the Realtek or HDMI driver conflicts. Or could be some DirectX or C++ Redistribution library conflicts.

i have got like 3 or 4 screen freezes with the 11.7 drivers. No BSODs but all the screen freezes were very random. Heres a summary:

1. F1 2010 while playing the malaysian grand prix. - once
2. 3dMark 11 performance preset - once
3. Crysis - once in the assault level
4. Metro 2033 - while benchamarking with 4x aa

I have since installed 11.8 preview and so far havent have any issues. Crysis 2 performance is basically same. That 10% improvement AMD is quoting is to be found only in the low tessellated areas of the game. On all ultra & 1080p, in some levels my fps drops to 12-13.

That's awful FPS for Crysis 2. On my rig I get 40 - 60fps after installing 11.8/ Im running at 1680 x 1050 but it should make THAT much difference. Never have I seen it go down to 12 - 13fps!!!
