AND the most important one, you've misunderstood what I was saying. I was saying that if you are viewing strictly 1280x720 material, it doesn't matter if you view it through a 1280x720 monitor or a 2560x1440 monitor, as long as the thing that scales it does it perfectly, which sometimes doesn't happen.
Not that there wouldn't be a difference between 2560x1440 and 1280x720 video material for example, which you seem to imply with that last bit.
We're still not on the same page. I doubt we ever will be at this rate.
I'll try to make it even simpler.
If you're watching a 720p movie on a 720p 10" screen, 1 foot away from your face, it will look incredible nice.
If you're watching a 720p movie on a 1440p 27" screen, 1 foot away from your face, it will look pixelated as hell.
If you're watching a 720p movie on a 1440p 27" screen, 4 feet away from your face, it will look decent.
Until there is 1440p content, 1440p monitors won't sell.
