If you are tempted to go with Intel because of delays, you're not alone. And, probably others with less patience already have gone SB since AMD missed the initial June deadline.
I'm sure AMD is aware that missing deadlines means lost revenue, and want to make people happy...such as yourself.
And, I don't call Intel the "dark side"...I just don't see "return on investment" in paying for their top-of-the-line product. A CPU for $1000? No thanks. I got my 875k for around $350 including the gas to go get it in Atlanta. $300 for a FX8150 will be awesome, if that's the price.
And I agree with you about performance. If FX doesn't live up to my expectations, Intel will be looked at for alternatives.
