There's actually a sort of "hack" that you can do to make your scores 7.9
Take a look at this video:

Because it's a Hard Disk Drive, not a Solid State Drive.

Hello! Good morning.

Beautiful sunny day here.

So how do I use this program? Do I need to change any settings or should I just click Start and go!
Pretty sure you can just hit Start.

And WEI is pretty lame. My system scores (no screenshot):

7.7 - Processor
7.7 - RAM
7.9 - Graphics
7.9 - Gaming Graphics
7.7 - Hard Drive

Somehow I can get a 7.9 with a slightly overclocked 560Ti, but a 4.5GHz 2600k only nets me a 7.7. The hard drive I can understand because its only a Vertex 2 and the RAM is fine I guess too because mine is just 1600MHz with 9-9-9-24 timings.

I would have expected my RAM to do better, quite honestly. 7.8 with 12GB of expensive Corsair RAM, whether O/Ced to 2105MHz at 9-11-9-27 or standard at 2000MHz 9-10-9-24 (I think that's what it's at now) still nets me a 7.8.

Alright! So I ran the test. Here are my results:

I'm not sure if this is good. I don't have anything to compare it to.

I'm excited to compare the Marvell readings to the Intel readings.

I still would expect my RAM to do better on the WEI. I can understand that my 980X apparently isn't good enough to reach a 7.9 (which is ridiculous, quite honestly), but that should be the ONLY thing at 7.8. Apparently just changing to AHCI boosts you up half a point for the SSD, though. Pretty cool stuff. Perhaps there's a way to get my CPU to 7.9 without hacking the program?

If anyone has any suggestions about getting the RAM up to 7.9, let me know. I have a tendency to go for higher frequency and timings rather than lower, does anyone have a performance comparison?

Also, the results I just posted are from my work computer. Did I trick anyone? I'll have real results at lunch time!

Considering that would be the saddest benchmark result for an SSD in the history of mankind, not really.
