The game would be epic with a keyboard and mouse. With a controller it is really labored. Its hard enough trying to get a headshot on an enemy whose head is about the size of a grain of rice on my 42" TV.

This. The gameplay feels horrible and unpolished in Resistance. Could never understand what anyone saw in it.

Completely imaginative, futuristic guns. A great storyline ( completely ripped off by the movie Skyline ).

pretty much.

haha i havnt seen skyline yet.

but yeah resistance has simple run n gun gameplay at its core, but it all depends on how you choose to play the game. you can play as a generic run of the mill shooter, or you can be strategic and creative.

plus, resistance 2 especially, emphasised a real urgence in gameplay and a need to always be moving or get rushed and mobbed by the enemy. no such thing as safe camping in resistance, which is why i loved resistance 2 so much.

but for a while now i've been way more into the whole fighting monsters/aliens/whatevers with big futurisic guns and massive boss fights over the reality driven modern war scenario games. so resistance and killzone and games similar really appeal to me.

Resistance 1 + 2 are both well reviewed games with 86 and 87 scores on metacritic. I tend to agree with them, the games are lots of fun.
