Best mouse for claw/fingertip grip?

Thread Starter
Hello gents, I'm currently in search for another mouse.
I've been trying out all the mice I can find locally and I haven't been able to find any that I like.

I recently purchased a Logitech G500 and I was severely disappointed with it, so I returned it.
I then ordered a SS Xai, but they ran out of stock [as usual] before they could get to my order and I don't feel like waiting weeks for them to get it back in stock.
I then looked into IME/WMO mice, I also didn't care for them.

Preferences:
-Claw or fingertip grip, average size
-HIGH quality and reliable
-Has 2 or more side buttons
-Can function on cloth pads while using high sensitivity [depending on how the mouse feels I may use 4" per 360 or up to 8"]
-No Logitech mice

This mouse is going to be used mainly for BF3 [mostly], RAGE, and Diablo III.
Budget: 120 USD for the mouse and mousepad.

I'm using a ball mouse from the 90s for the time being, which doesn't even have a scroll wheel. sad-smiley-002.gif

Thanks for your help in advance. smile.gif

With those requirements I would recommend the Razer Deathadder on a Puretrak Talent or QCK+. It's a lot more focused towards fingertip than it is claw tho... If your focusing towards claw the CM Storm Spawn is what is most recommended as the Razor Abyssus has jitter problems.

I've always felt my Deathadder was geared towards palm. I claw and I like my Abyssus, but it's a gamble if you use cloth pads.

honestly, you can never go wrong with a DeathAdder.

The deathadder has some flaws, you can definitely go wrong with it if you want to claw/finger tip grip like this thread suggests.

yes, the deathadder is suited towards palm grip whereas the abyssus is for the claw/fingertip grip but carries risk of jitter on cloth pads, but the abyssus has no side buttons for you.

Razer Krait

Sleek design

Just from looking the pictures, i feel the Abyssus is more bulky even though it's shorter lengthwise(which i find too short).

Also the scrollwheelplacement on the Abyssus looks kinda awkward.

I actually prefer to claw grip my DA over palming it (I hate that hump, coming from a 3.0 it just doesn't feel right). You could go wrong with any mouse for any variety of reasons. wink.gif

I have small hand measuring 7" by 4" and too have no issues clawing the DA.

Alienware Tactx - feature packed mouse, it's similar to Logitech G9x.
Many will rush to complain about it having a mild 5ish % of acceleration.

Abyssus - if you use a hardpad and don't need side buttons.

Spawn - great if you dont get a lemon one like Derp did.

Thank you for your input so far guys.
When I get off work tonight I'll look into the DA some more.

I have a few questions...
Are there any major differences between the normal DA and the black edition?
How well does it function on a cloth pad with 6-8" 360?
Would the Xai be worth waiting for? (it's currently out of stock)
