Does PSU affect stability?

Thread Starter
If both PSUs have enough power and current capabilities, is there a reason why the same video card (570) would be more stable on a different PSU?

I was able to run only 885/2200 on my previous PSU, now I can run 900/2200 on my new PSU. Old was Antec BP550W new is Corsair 750TX V2... both have enough current and wattage supply for my rig, and I get identical benchmarks with each.

In short, yes it can, especially if the PSU is running at high load and has some age on it.

Cheap PSUs typically don't deliver as clean of power, especially under high load, but even good PUSs degrade over time.

Not enough to be noticeable.

But in your case, the difference is somewhat large.

I'd say it's more likely to be a fluke.
