Win7 wont boot after new ram? - Page 2

ok I have the ripjaws in after cmos reset but windows still wont boot up, doing the repair now 2 see if it will go through

Now you may need to go into the BIOS and manually set the Ripjaws to their stock values as either printed on the stickers, or as displayed in the far-right column in CPU-Z's "Timings Table" in the SPD tab.

Yea the settings are def wrong, in my bios right now with the ripjaws in it says in dimm1 and 2 the timing is 6-6-6-15... stock ripjaws are 9-9-9-24

hmmm not letting me change the voltage for my DRAM. stuck on auto. Timing is saved now. Windows still wont boot =/ ughhhh

Hi streetstyle55,

It sounds like you could have a baf ram module. Just because their brand new doesn;t mean they are always perfect.
If you can'r get it running on the new ram reset your bios value for the old set and see if it works. Also ALWAYS use a static grounding strap (static wrist strap etc.) when handling chips 0r components. Remember even a barely visable static spark can be as much as a thousand volts.....way more than enough to fry computer parts.

Problem has been fixed. Im not running 12gig of both the new and old ram, on another drive. Have 3 hooked up. Thanks for a your help.!
