[SD] Brink is Free to Play on Steam Until Sunday! - Page 4

I'd give it a try, but downloading it would take the whole free weekend .
Could someone recomment this for a Mirror's Edge fan?

This game is boring, so glad I didn't buy it, would have wasted my money and time if I actually bought it, poor console port and horrible graphics. Looks like if this game was made in 2005.

What doesn't everyone like about it?

The customization is a lot of fun. I get to create a character which expresses my personality, something I think looks cool, or something just to stand out from the crowd. Also the fact that every class can use every weapon is awesome fun. Sure weapons are restricted by body size (Small, medium, and Large) but it just sort of works if you ask me.

The gameplay is your standard First person shooter affair (Escort, S&D, etc.) but with parkour thrown in. Now I'll admit the parkour system isn't the best it could be but when you get a flow going it is just loads of fun. Especially since if you're small you can be Speedy Gonzales, if you're medium you're the jack of all trades and if you're heavy you get access to every weapon. I am sure there is more to the heavy class but I am not of a fan of it.

There is a lot of potential for a Brink 2. But at the moment Brink is just a good experiment. Sometimes experiments work and sometimes they don't but that's the whole point of experimenting with a game like this. To be honest I really hope a Brink 2 is made because there is really a lot of potential here.

I like the game, its a great arena shooter, But its just too laggy on ATi Cards

Still, I have brought the special edition for £5.48 :d

Just another reminder to myself about how I wasted $50

Not trying to totally bash the game, if you guys are interested give it a try. It has some cool elements to say the least.

Runs like garbage at 720p on my setup. Wondering how nvidia's doing now... It's been a while since I saw a game made for ATI. Either way I didn't see a multiplayer tab in game either, so looking for that.

Go and listen to a professional troll complain for five minutes about every game ever made?

I respect you opinion but I respectfully disagree with it.
