Well, Croshaw didn't like Mirror's Edge which most people liked, and he also doesn't like online multiplayer which Brink is heavily based on. Either way, it's his job to point out the flaws in games. That's what every Zero Punctuation video is besides a select few.

Anyway, I really enjoyed Brink. I don't feel I wasted any money despite paying full price. I find it funny that everyone is willing to hate on Brink, but not bring up any real good reason for it. It's not surprising though, because people's opinions are easily influenced by what other people say.

The customization is a lot of fun. I get to create a character which expresses my personality, something I think looks cool, or something just to stand out from the crowd. Also the fact that every class can use every weapon is awesome fun. Sure weapons are restricted by body size (Small, medium, and Large) but it just sort of works if you ask me.

The gameplay is your standard First person shooter affair (Escort, S&D, etc.) but with parkour thrown in. Now I'll admit the parkour system isn't the best it could be but when you get a flow going it is just loads of fun. Especially since if you're small you can be Speedy Gonzales, if you're medium you're the jack of all trades and if you're heavy you get access to every weapon. I am sure there is more to the heavy class but I am not of a fan of it.

There is a lot of potential for a Brink 2. But at the moment Brink is just a good experiment. Sometimes experiments work and sometimes they don't but that's the whole point of experimenting with a game like this. To be honest I really hope a Brink 2 is made because there is really a lot of potential here.
That's my issue with game developers lately.

They make a crap game, release it, and then all the people that bought it end up hating it. But oh wait, here's the sequel, that fixes everything that people didn't like about the first one! Everyone's happy!

Except all those people that just paid $60 to Beta test the game for them.

I found this game have kinda hard, it would take more the a weekend to learn probably to be able to actually enjoy this game. It does have a different feel compared to BC2, movement was a bit slow, not sure which body type i was using, it was the default one right after the install.

There is one level where we couldn't get out of spawn, it's the one where enemy can sit on the 2nd or 3rd level and snipe you, every one was just dieing and we couldn't advance at all.

I also found that to get a kill you need to put a lot of bullets into a guy.

And last thing is the graphical department is definitely not the best in the business.
