I never saw a problem with the pace. With a good team, things can go pretty quickly.

This game truly doesn't deserve the hate it's getting. It may not be the greatest game but it sure isn't crap. Playing for 5 minutes certainly isn't enough to get a feel for the game. You guys are ridiculous.

I played it for an hour and thought it was terrible. Yea, an hour isn't much, but first impressions are important for me. If a game can't catch my attention in the first 30 minutes then it's a no-go for me.

I think what most people should say is that the game isn't worth the current price even at 50% off. It's more of a $10-15 game like Monday Night Combat.

So you wouldn't want to take the time to at least develop your player a little bit? The game doesn't hand you everything right from the start, you have to earn things. That's what I don't understand about these people saying they played for 5 minutes or less and decided they didn't like it. They barely even played the game. It's like the started playing expecting to hate it because another person said they hated it so of course their outlook will be negative. Once you start developing your character, focusing his abilities, then things start to get pretty entertaining.

If you enjoy it then, but not enough to pay the full price.. well it's 50% off.

I'm not trying to be fanboy or anything, I just don't think it's worthy of being call crap or PoS like people are saying. The game is enjoyable and when you get a good group together who are good at working together, things just get better.

Considering I've owned the game since launch and after 25 hours of play I still find it not to be so enjoyable. I didn't just pick it up and get on the dislike bandwagon when my turn came around. Yes, it's not as bad as most people are saying but it also wasn't anything to 'wow' at.

The classes take too long to develop into the roles and that has to be where 90% of my enjoyment in the game came from. Weapons are sluggish to me and takes way too many rounds to put someone down. Both TF2 and MNC are miles ahead of what this game is. Had lots of potential and with Bethesda backing it I expected better.

Edit: I don't want to hear about the 'earning things' gripe. I'm all about long hours to earn new unlocks. The issue here is that it takes too long to develop said class to feel different. That's the flaw. For the record I LOVED being a medic after finally unlocking most of the tools that made the class feel unique and actually brought something to the table. Took too long to snag my interest but I did make sure to play through to feel the experience the game offered.

Single player is just like MP, except both teams are populated with bots. Before this weekend deal, MP might as well have been SP...

Brink can be fun as long as you have a good team. The bugginess detracts quite a bit from the gameplay, though, especially for ATI gpu users.

Edit: I'm not sure if the issue is still present, but playing SP would lock the FPS at 30. Many players complained about the lag they felt in SP.

At least you took the time to try the game out and can admit that it's not as horrible as people are saying. I never said it was amazing. I said it's enjoyable and for the most part, it is.

The bottom line wasn't really referring to you, though. It was meant for the people saying that they played for 40 seconds or 5 minutes, etc. I'm sorry if it seemed like I was accusing you of being one of them. I think it's rather stupid that the people don't even really play the game before making a judgement on it.

reading through all 6 pages here, I can see what you're saying about 5 min but how long do you expect people to play an unfun game so it can finally become fun? Usually if a game isn't fun for me in an hour or so I quit.
